Ayiti, Carried Home
$12.00
Ayiti rests beneath the rising sun, giving family, language, and memory the dignity of a name spoken with pride.
Description
For many Haitian families, Ayiti is also lakay-home carried through language, food, music, faith, stories, and the people who keep those connections alive. The name sits at the center of this medallion beneath sun rays and above a strong star, surrounded by floral forms that give the tribute warmth without crowding it. Ayiti, Carried Home does not try to summarize a country or explain someone else’s identity. It gives the name ceremony and space. A viewer may bring a birthplace, an ancestor, a family kitchen, a song, or a home known mainly through memory. The emblem becomes complete through that personal connection.
