The Distance Between Them
$12.00
They face the same rose from opposite sides, close enough to share its light and not yet ready to share their trust.
Description
A rose beneath glass stands between a woman reaching forward and a horned figure waiting in shadow. The flower receives the brightest light, making it less a decoration than the fragile condition of their meeting. Transformation begins with the way they learn to see one another. Both figures are drawn toward the same living thing, yet the dome prevents either from touching it freely. Perhaps the rose measures time, protects a promise, or asks whether beauty can survive fear. The arched branches hold them close while the remaining distance asks what must change before either figure can cross it.
