Touching the Reflection
$12.00
One fingertip disturbs the reflection, and the familiar story looking back can never return to perfect stillness.
Description
A young woman kneels beside the pond and touches the surface with one finger. Ripples move through her upside-down reflection while a castle waits across the water, a bird watches from the branch, and an apple rests nearby. A single touch is enough to change both the reflection and the person looking into it. She is not fleeing, dancing, or facing a visible threat. She is testing the boundary between herself and the image the water returns. The apple and castle hint at a larger story, but the moment remains personal: the instant someone realizes that looking is not the same as knowing. Once the surface moves, the reflection can never be exactly what it was.
