The Hare and the Lantern
$49.99
The hare carries a lantern through the dark, small enough to seem vulnerable and calm enough to know the way.
Description
The upright hare wears a top hat, ruffled collar, and tailored coat, holding a glowing lantern in one paw and a cane in the other. Ferns and mushrooms crowd the path, while a tiny figure watches from deeper in the trees. The encounter combines impeccable manners with the unmistakable feeling that ordinary rules have ended. Is the hare a guide, messenger, host, or someone equally lost but too proud to admit it? The lantern offers enough light to follow, not enough to reveal the destination. Following him means stepping into the woods behind a character completely prepared for an event no one else knew was happening.
