Freedom, 250 Years

Description

Anniversaries turn history into something we are asked to measure, but freedom has never been a finished achievement. The eagle, flags, shields, and dates in this crest carry the formality of a national seal, while the word at its base keeps the meaning personal. Each viewer may bring a different family story, military memory, civic belief, or hope for what the country can still become. The artwork honors a milestone without reducing it to celebration alone. Two hundred fifty years contain triumphs, failures, corrections, and people who kept pressing the promise forward. The emblem holds that complicated pride: respect for what was built and responsibility for what comes next.
