Moonlight Over the Lanterned River

Description

A bright full moon occupies the upper third of the composition, its textured surface and radiating rays cutting through a dense starfield and thin bands of cloud. The moon’s vertical reflection bisects the river below, creating a strong central axis that draws the eye down through a procession of softly glowing floating lanterns toward the foreground. Hundreds of tiny stars and a sweeping Milky Way–like band fill the night sky, while stippled clouds add atmospheric midtones around the lunar glow.

Centered slightly below the midpoint, a three-arched stone bridge spans the river, its textured masonry and parapet posts rendered in crisp hatch and stipple.
